Project Manager / Drafter
Khalsa Design Inc. (KDI) is a Somerville, Massachusetts based Architectural firm. Established in 1985, KDI’s primary focus is on providing quality services to our clients, while providing leadership and growth opportunities to our staff. KDI has a diverse client base specializing in a variety of project types, including Multi-Family Residential, Hospitality, Retail, Commercial, and Mixed-Use projects.
Khalsa Design Inc. is seeking self-motivated, highly-organized, architectural design professionals with a minimum of 7 years experience. Candidates are expected to have technical and design skills with strong attention to detail, and proviciency in Autodesk REVIT software. The ideal candidate would be able to administer projects from pre-design through building occupancy.
Qualifications & Responsibilities:
•Professional architectural degree required.
•Professional Licensure or pursuit of registration is preferred.
•7 years minimum of relevant post graduate experience.
•Experience with multi-family and mixed-use project types required.
Understanding of building systems, building codes, and the ability to review & understand local zoning codes.
•Ability to oversee all aspects of projects, including the production of schematic, design development, and construction documents.
•Experience running a project from start to finish including client communication, project scheduling, collaboration with AEC team, managing drafters, and coordinating construction administration.
•Experience with Passive House, LEED, Net Zero Projects is preferred.
•Able to represent the firm in a professional manner in a variety of environments. This position requires client interactions, communication with consultants, city departments and presentations to abutters, community development groups, and planning, zoning, or other permit granting authorities.
•Proficient in current version of Revit.
•Able to commute and work in the office (Somerville, MA); parking is provided on site, if required.
•Able to conduct site visits as required for construction administration.
